Wanted to share a Bowl Pool app I created for shitz-n-gigs. Note: The app is NOT the official tracking that will be used. That will be done via the Mastersheet. But I’m hopeful that I created the app properly that everything aligns.
Some features of the app:
Two Challenge Views:
- 2025 CBPC – Track all 90 participants in our bowl pool challenge and see the current standings
- AI Challenge – See how AI models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Manus) are performing in their bowl game predictions. (I did this for fun!)
Leaderboard:
- Real-time rankings sorted by total points
- See each player’s correct picks and maximum possible score
- Top 3 highlighted with special styling (1st place gold, 2nd silver, Last place bronze)
- Click any player’s name to view all their picks and championship prediction
Bowl Games:
- 39 bowl games
- Games sorted by date with times displayed
- See what percentage of players picked each team
- Green highlight shows the official winning team
What-If Scenarios:
- Click on any undecided game to see how different outcomes would affect the standings. (This will be valuable as we get closer to the end!)
- Your “what-if” picks show in cyan/teal with a “WHAT-IF” badge
- Experiment freely – your selections reset when you leave the page
- Official results (set by admin) are locked and can’t be changed
National Champion Predictions (at bottom of the bowl game listings):
- See which teams everyone picked to win it all
- View the most popular championship picks with percentages
